The Gaggia Classic PRO/ EVO Flow Control Dimmer Kit is designed to be versatile and adaptable to your Gaggia Classic espresso machine. It seamlessly fits into any Gaggia Classic PRO/ EVO with a TopBox already installed or any Classic where the owner is comfortable drilling a hole in the case for knob access.

Once installed, this dimmer empowers you to adjust the pump’s water flow output from complete shutoff to maximum flow by simply rotating the control dial. It’s essential to understand that this dimmer manages the FLOW of water, not the PRESSURE. While increasing the flow often leads to a pressure increase, the peak pressure depends on various factors, such as your OPV settings and coffee puck resistance.

With this flow control dimmer, you can effectively perform low-pressure pre-infusion, pause the pump to allow the coffee puck to bloom, and then gradually increase the flow while monitoring pressure (if you have our brew pressure gauge). Flow and pressure control, typically found in more expensive machines, is now an exciting and useful feature for your Classic.

The kit comprises a control board housed in a small plastic mounting case, and a control knob with an aluminum finish for precise adjustments. The control board and associated power resistor are discreetly installed within the Classic’s main case, with only the small control knob situated within the TopBox or another suitable location if a hole is created.
