Over time calcium will start to build up in your machine. This is a normal process as the water in your area will contain amounts of calcium.

Unless your machine is plumbed into a water softener or you are using water from a source that is calcium free the build up is inevitable.

If your machine runs off its reservoir then it is a good idea to use an OSCAR Water Softener, provided it will fit into the reservoir.
