Hard water is a description for water that contains a high dissolved mineral content.

Water is soft when it falls from the sky as rain but as it travels through rock and soil, it dissolves mainly calcium and magnesium.

Depending on the type and amount of processing by the municipal water treatment plant, water softness will vary from place to place. In most areas water is relatively hard when it leaves the treatment plant.

Hard water will cause scaling inside your espresso machine. Scale is the left over mineral deposits that are formed after the hard water passes through; this is also known as limescale.

Content : 15ml, enough for +- 10 tests.
